Apollo cohort lands on pioneering course

Evolve’s first cohort has enrolled in its pioneering Health Mentor training, run in partnership with Newman University in Birmingham.

The 24 learners in the cohort named Apollo are taking the new Level 4 Short Course for Health Mentors, an innovative and accredited staff training programme.
The Health Mentors from London, Yorkshire, Nottingham, Lincolnshire and the West Midlands will gain 60 credits towards a degree through the bespoke course, which has been validated for five years.
Evolve has plans to develop this course even further by offering it on a wider basis to teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors, sports coaches and other individuals working with children who are looking to enhance their CVs.
The ultimate aim is to create a full degree programme for Health Mentors, with progression routes into teaching and other careers.
