The ESFA have almost certainly taken 0.5% of your annual wage bill from your budget and the only way for you to recoup this funding is to train your workforce using new apprenticeship courses.
HOWEVER, THERE IS A PROBLEM
Just 8% of apprenticeship levy funds have been spent in the 10 months since the scheme’s launch, with £1.28bn of £1.39bn paid in by businesses “sitting unused” in accounts, according to an Open University analysis. For schools, the main challenge is the lack of apprenticeship standards that their levy funding can be used for.
