Teaching Support Staff + Apprenticeship Levy = Health Mentor

My mum currently works in a large primary school as a Pastoral Manager. Her career journey went from volunteering in a school for a few hours per week to working as a part-time Learning Support Assistant, full time Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor and now Pastoral Manager. We were talking recently about how she had some initial training to undertake the transition from Teaching Assistant to Learning Mentor but she has received minimal formal training to prepare her for multiple teaching support roles.
(Note – She is brilliant at her job, even if I am slightly biased!)
That is why we are so excited about the prospect of offering our revered and refined Health Mentor Training Programme to teaching support staff at no cost to schools who are paying into the apprenticeship levy.
So, if you have someone in your school who would benefit from and be interested in this professional development opportunity, please share this flyer and suggest that they sign up using this EOI form before we are fully booked for 2018/19.
